Aref strengthens the naval blockade of Iran’s transit routes
Mohammad Reza Aref, the First Vice President of Iran, stated that naval restrictions can create an opportunity to develop border passages and complete the country’s transportation corridors. He emphasized that Iran has the capacity to become a regional transit hub and connect landlocked countries to open waters.
In the national transit committee meeting, it was announced that the country’s imports via rail routes have increased by several hundred percent in the first half of the current year. Additionally, plans were approved to facilitate the clearance of medicine and medical equipment, implement smart truck traffic systems, and increase the capacity of border terminals.
