Arrest and Transfer of Several Civil and Union Activists to Evin

Following the news of the arrest of several civil and union activists yesterday, Hrana, the news agency of human rights activists in Iran, has reported the transfer of these 9 individuals to Evin Prison.

According to Hrana, Reyhaneh Ansari Nejad, Asal Mohammadi, Hirad Pirbodaghi, Anisha Asadollahi, Kamyar Fakour, Sarvenaz Ahmadi, Hassan Ebrahimi, Zhila Rouhzad, and Aldoz Hashemi were arrested and transferred to Evin on the eve of International Workers’ Day, which is May 1st (11th of Ordibehesht).

It has been stated that these individuals were arrested at the home of Mohammad Habibi, a teachers’ union activist. These union and labor activists have previously been arrested due to their activities.
