Three people arrested in Yazd after a dispute over mandatory hijab

Three Iranian citizens were arrested on the first day of the new solar year for reacting to a warning about mandatory hijab given to some women in Yazd.

The Asr Iran news site reported that these three individuals were visiting the Dolatabad Garden in Yazd when they reacted to a warning from a woman referred to as ‘the martyr’s wife’ and got into a physical altercation with her and her daughter.

According to the report, during this altercation, another woman, referred to as an enforcer of virtue, got involved, and the police immediately arrested the three individuals who reacted to the hijab warning.
