Arrests of Protesters Continue in Various Cities of Iran

The arrest of protesters in various cities of Iran continues.

Hossein Hasanpour, the deputy commander of Gilan’s law enforcement, says five people were arrested in Rasht on charges of creating roadblocks and disturbing public order and security.

He described these arrests as related to the recent protests, which the Iranian government has labeled as riots. So far, the Iranian government has arrested more than 14,000 people in this context.

Meanwhile, HRANA, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, reported that on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, four citizens named Javid Ezzati, Loqman Rahmani, Anwar Shakery, and Sirvan Karami were arrested by security forces in the cities of Miandoab, Kamyaran, Dehgolan, and Divandareh and transferred to an unknown location.
