Arshia Takdastan was sentenced to death

Arshia Takdastan was arrested during the Nowshahr protests in September, and the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of Sari sentenced him to death on charges of spreading corruption on earth and waging war against God.

Before him, Mehdi Mohammadi-Fard, another 18-year-old from Nowshahr, had also been sentenced to death twice.

The court has also issued other sentences based on additional charges attributed to him, including inciting and provoking the people to fight and kill each other with the intent to disrupt national security, resulting in 5 years of imprisonment, engaging in propaganda against the regime, resulting in 1 year of imprisonment, and insulting the leadership, resulting in 2 years of imprisonment, with previous detention days counted.
