Asghar Jahangir replaced Masoud Setayeshi

With a decree from Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, the head of the judiciary, Asghar Jahangir, the Deputy of Social Affairs and Crime Prevention of this body, was appointed as the spokesperson of the judiciary while retaining his position, replacing Masoud Setayeshi who had held this position since May 2022.

Jahangir has held positions including the head of the Prisons Organization, judge of the Supreme Court, head of the Prosecutor’s Office for Government Employees, advisor to the head of the judiciary, head of the Special Inspection Office of the judiciary, and Deputy of Social Affairs and Crime Prevention of this judiciary in his career.
