Associated Press: Iran is building underground nuclear cities

According to the Associated Press, Tehran has not informed the agency about the construction of new facilities, although if they intend to introduce uranium into them, they must declare the site to the agency. The International Atomic Energy Agency did not respond to questions regarding the new underground facilities.

The new project is under construction near Natanz. These facilities, protected by air defense systems, are spread over an area of 27 square kilometers.

Satellite images taken in April by Planet Labs PBC and analyzed by the Associated Press show that Iran is tunneling into the Kolang Gaz La Kolang Gaz Ala mountain south of Natanz.

A different set of images analyzed by the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies shows that four entrances have been dug into the mountainside. Two entrances face east and the other two face west, each measuring 6 meters wide and 8 meters high.
