Mohammad Eslami’s Astonishing Remarks about Dairy Farms
The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization apparently intended to provide comprehensive explanations in response to recent developments in nuclear equations between Iran and Western countries to calm Iranian public opinion and justify to foreign officials. However, what he has said is one of the most disastrous statements possible.
Mohammad Eslami has stated that Rafael Grossi and his organization cannot accuse Iran of expanding undeclared facilities, and on the other hand, the place where experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency claim to have found uranium was a dairy farm.
Iran is not currently accused of having hidden nuclear facilities. If such facilities are discovered, two specific processes will be followed to deal with them, one of which is naturally military.
Iran must respond regarding the uranium discovered in its facilities. These facilities could be nuclear power plants, nuclear sites, restaurants, or dairy farms.
Iranian security officials naturally do not leave the IAEA experts to their own devices when they are in Iran and are always with them. It is unclear how this enthusiastic group managed to visit a dairy farm amidst their inspection and control programs.
Mohammad Eslami could tell part of the truth and point out that the monitoring and control structures of the agency, which are installed in Iran’s facilities, have detected uranium without the presence of experts. In this case, Mr. Eslami’s statements would mean that these structures were installed by IAEA experts at a dairy farm, and they do not know the difference between a nuclear facility and a dairy farm.
