At least 3 people killed in Abadan refinery explosion

Following the explosion at unit 70 of the Abadan oil refinery, the death toll from this incident has reached three people.

This incident, which occurred on Sunday, July 19th, due to a leak in one of the operational pumps, claimed its first victim on the same day, a worker named Ehsan Aliyasian.

According to Iranian media, two other injured individuals who had suffered severe burns passed away in the past few days.

Two other workers, Ali Azadvar and Alireza Aram, also succumbed to their injuries in the following days.

The Abadan refinery is one of Iran’s largest oil facilities, and incidents like this have once again raised concerns about the safety of workers and industrial infrastructure in the country.
