Atiyeh Sadat Hosseini’s Pride with Iran’s First Women’s Gold in the World Youth Championships

On the second day of the 11th World Para Powerlifting Youth Championships in Cairo, the first women’s gold medal for Iran in the youth category was awarded to Atiyeh Sadat Hosseini.

Hosseini won the championship in the 61 kg category by lifting weights of 85 and 90 kilograms, earning the first women’s gold medal in this discipline for Iran.

The youth competitions are held on the 9th and 10th of October for the first time over two consecutive days, with the participation of 124 athletes from 28 National Paralympic Committees.
