Ruhollah Solgi, the political and security deputy of Mazandaran’s governor, said more details will be announced soon.

Abbasali Soleimani, a member of the Assembly of Experts, was shot and killed today in Babolsar, a city in northern Iran, as a result of an assassination attempt.

Mr. Soleimani was previously the representative of the Supreme Leader in Sistan and Baluchestan Province and later the Friday prayer leader in Kashan.
