Australia’s $12 Billion Plan to Expand Defense Power
Australia intends to increase its efforts to purchase long-range missiles to counter rising threats from China with a major shift in defense strategy.
According to a 110-page document worked on by Australia’s defense and security institutions, the country is set to spend around $12 billion for this purpose.
The strategic review states that given the global changes and developments, the country can no longer protect itself in the missile age through geographical isolation.
