The news site Axios reported, citing an Israeli official, that the Israeli Air Force attacked gas facilities located in southern Iran. Barak Ravid, an Axios journalist, wrote on the social media platform X that this operation was carried out with U.S. approval.

Iranian media reported an hour ago that some tanks and parts of the facilities in various phases of Assaluyeh were targeted. The South Pars gas field, the largest gas field in the world, is jointly operated by Iran and Qatar.
