Ayatollah Ghavami: Some women don’t even wear pants
Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Ghavami, a member of the Society of Seminary Teachers, said that if hijab is not observed, it leads to a kind of lawlessness that we are facing today. This is also in the interest of women themselves because with the way they come out and the mindset they have to show off in various ways, they end up being used as tools for different purposes.
Ayatollah Ghavami stated that the issue is not just about a few strands of a woman’s hair being visible, although that is also wrong. The issue is the lawlessness we feel in society. These tight and short clothes you see, the scarves pushed back, the hair exposed, the heavy makeup, and sometimes the specific clothes and pants that are worn or sometimes not worn at all, cause significant harm to society, and we should not shed tears for them.
He emphasized that the truth is women should be advised to maintain their modesty for their own sake, for society, and for families. Coming out in this manner and breaking boundaries is harmful to families, and everyone gets hurt in this regard.
