Azar Mansouri and several reformist figures in Iran have been arrested.
Iranian domestic media have reported the arrest of several active reformist figures, including Azar Mansouri, the head of the Reform Front, Ebrahim Asgharzadeh, the head of the political committee of this front, and Mohsen Aminzadeh. Simultaneously, there have been reports of summons and searches of the homes of several other activists of this movement.
According to these reports, IRGC agents have visited the homes of Mohsen Armin, the vice president, and Badrosadat Mofidi, the secretary of the Reform Front, asking them to follow up on the matter on Tuesday.
The Tehran Prosecutor’s Office has announced in a statement that the arrested individuals, according to this institution, have engaged in organizing and leading extensive organizational activities aimed at disrupting the country’s political and social situation amid threats from the US and Israel.
In continuation of this statement, the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office accused these individuals of inciting the internal atmosphere and added that after completing the investigation process, charges have been filed against four members of this movement, and a number of activists associated with it have been arrested on charges of acting in favor of the US and Israel.
