Azari Jahromi: NAJA Admits Morality Police's Treatment of 14-Year-Old Girl Was Wrong

Azari Jahromi: NAJA has admitted that the conduct of the Guidance Patrol officers with the 14-year-old girl was inappropriate.

Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, the former Minister of Communications, wrote about the incident involving the Guidance Patrol and two teenage girls. He stated, ‘Yesterday, I spoke with two commanders of the NAJA about the video circulating on social media. They also emphasized that the conduct was inappropriate and referred it to inspection for addressing the violation.’

Their approach regarding this incident was that it was outside the norms of law enforcement and emphasized the inappropriateness of the conduct, referring it to inspection to address the mentioned violation.

I suggested that now, given this positive approach in NAJA, firstly, the results of the investigation should be promptly communicated to the public, and senior representatives from NAJA should also apologize to the girls’ families and the public.

The police are the guarantors of public security in the country, and confrontational approaches that create a divide between the police and the people are certainly not beneficial for the country.
