Azari Jahromi to Raisi: There is a significant gap between the government’s claimed statistics and what people feel.
The former Minister of Communications and Information Technology told Raisi, ‘Believe me, there is a significant gap between what you claim and what people feel. If you don’t believe it, ask your multiple polling agencies to find out people’s opinions. If you have an answer, explain it to the people; it is in your best interest if you think about it.’
Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, the former Minister of Communications and Information Technology, reacted to Raisi’s comments on economic growth rates on his personal Twitter page, saying, ‘I asked the president a simple and polite question. Instead of responding, multiple government news channels and relatives are evading the issue. I am asking my question again: Why is there a difference between the government’s claimed statistics on economic growth and the people’s feelings and living conditions?’
