Azarpeik Convicted of Defamation, Slander, and Threats

Azarpeyk was convicted of spreading falsehoods, slander, and threats.

Saba Azarpeyk was sentenced to imprisonment and banned from social media activities.

Saba Azarpeyk was sentenced to a total of three years in prison, a two-year ban from social media activities, and a fine for spreading falsehoods, slander, defamation, and threats.

According to the initial court ruling, if Azarpeyk repeats criminal behavior, an additional one-third will be added to the prison sentence.

It is noteworthy that the plaintiffs in these cases include the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Alireza Razm Hosseini, the Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade in Hassan Rouhani’s government, Zahra Sheikhi, a member of the Eleventh Parliament, and Seyed Mohsen Dehnavi, a member of the Presidium of the Eleventh Parliament. They filed complaints against Azarpeyk in recent months due to her accusations, and the court, after reviewing the evidence and Azarpeyk’s claims, found her guilty.
