Azerbaijan summoned the Iranian ambassador following drone attacks from Iran on Nakhchivan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan announced that it has summoned the ambassador of the Islamic Republic in response to drone attacks from Iran on Nakhchivan.

According to Azerbaijani media reports, on Thursday, a drone launched from Iran hit an airport building in Nakhchivan. Additionally, the Report news agency stated that on Wednesday, two drones entered Nakhchivan’s airspace from Iran, and one of them struck the region’s airport.

Nakhchivan is an autonomous republic that is an exclave of Azerbaijan, separated from the main territory of the country by Armenia.
