Azerbaijan’s Military Offensive in Karabakh Halted

Following the agreement of Armenian forces to disarm, Azerbaijan has halted its military operations in the Karabakh region.

Twenty-four hours after the Azerbaijani army launched an attack on Karabakh, it has now been reported that the Armenian forces in the region have agreed to Russia’s conditions for a ceasefire.

One of the key demands accepted by the Karabakh forces is the proposal for complete disarmament.

About 120,000 Armenians live in this region located in the South Caucasus, which is internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan.

Three years ago, Azerbaijan reclaimed areas in and around Karabakh and on Tuesday called for the complete surrender of the Armenian forces in the region.
