Government’s Preparations for Dissolving the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults
Ali Asghar Seyyedabadi, a researcher in children’s and young adult literature, announced on his Instagram page that the government is preparing to dissolve the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. In part of his note, it states:
Among the topics under government review, the request to transfer the libraries of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults to the Public Libraries Institution is very strange and its consequences are concerning. This request is being reviewed by the Commission for Public Administration and Human Capital Management of the government. Proposing such a demand during one of the weakest management periods of the Institute is very dangerous, and agreeing to it would signify the beginning of the dissolution of the Institute for the Intellectual Development, as the nature of the libraries in the Institute is fundamentally different from what is defined in the Public Libraries Institution.
