Gholamali Haddad-Adel: Television Should Not Flaunt Economic Corruption Trials to the People

Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel should not flaunt the economic corruption trials on television to the people.

Sometimes, just as a simple surgery might lead to a widespread post-operative infection with more harmful effects, incorrect promotional policies can cause this fight against corruption to be misunderstood and lead to public skepticism towards the entire system and revolution, providing enemies of the revolution and internal opponents with an excuse. For example, if every time we turn on the TV, we see a trial taking place and a corrupt person being prosecuted, people might get used to saying, ‘So whose turn is it today?’ Therefore, this approach is not wise.

If the promotional organizations are eager to flaunt these trials to the people every day, naturally, one should expect that people would think that from top to bottom, everyone is corrupt and the country is drowning in corruption.
