Taylor to Yazdani: I know losing is frustrating

On the second day of the freestyle wrestling competitions at the Wrestling World Championships in Serbia, Hassan Yazdani was defeated by David Taylor from the USA in the 86 kg final and won the silver medal. Their match was one of the most exciting wrestling matches of this tournament.

Yazdani and David Taylor from the USA had faced each other four times before, with Taylor defeating Yazdani three times: at the Kermanshah World Cup, the 2018 World Championships in Budapest, and the Tokyo Olympic final. However, last year at the World Championships final in Oslo, Hassan Yazdani managed to defeat Taylor. After the match, in response to the question of what message he had for Yazdani, Taylor said, ‘Hello friend, I know losing is frustrating, but next year you will be there, and I will be there, and we will compete.’
