Fars News Agency Attacks Ali Karimi

Fars News Agency’s attack on Ali Karimi

Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, emphasized Ali Karimi being 44 years old, attempting to suggest that due to a lack of opportunity to shine on the football field, he seeks attention through political and social activism.

However, this news agency forgot that in 2009, when he was 29 years old and a star of the national team, Karimi appeared in a national match wearing a green wristband to show solidarity with the people. It’s not the first time media affiliated with extremist factions clumsily attack popular and public figures who have different approaches and behaviors. During these times and after the death of Mahsa Amini, Ali Karimi, as always, stood with the people and did not give importance to such defamations and slanders.
