The President of the Iranian Social Work Association says belittling protesters doubles their anger.
Seyed Hassan Mousavi Chalak, President of the Iranian Social Work Association, stated in an interview with Hamshahri
Emotional behaviors usually do not last long. After some time has passed since the presence of protesters in the streets, evaluations have shown that emotional individuals participate less in gatherings. Those who are in the streets and protesting should not be belittled to avoid doubling their anger. These individuals should be guided within dialogue-based frameworks towards rational and logical pursuit of their demands, and within this framework, a specific program and timeline should be developed for pursuing and achieving these demands. If officials move in this direction, not only will the existing conflict be minimized, but also the risk of the generational gap, which has now just begun to appear, will be addressed. If these conflicts and unanswered questions remain, individuals might pursue other solutions to find answers to their questions.
