Welcome to the fiery week of global elections
Welcome to one of the hottest political and electoral weeks in the world, as British politics transitions from an intra-party election period to determine the leader of the Conservative Party and the Prime Minister of the country. Meanwhile, Labour MPs have caused a stir by electing Richard Sunak as their leader. Elections in Brazil and Israel will also mark this fiery week, and ultimately, the United States as well.
In Brazil, President Bolsonaro, an extremist leader of the country, is trying to compensate for the decline in the power of right-wing forces after the parliamentary elections in the second round of the presidential election. Polls indicate a slight lead for Lula da Silva, but the problem lies in the reliability of these polls, which has become a headache for supporters of freedom and opponents of extremists in the Daciolo camp.
The first round of elections witnessed a serious deviation from the poll-based predictions as Bolsonaro’s votes were higher than expected. Freedom advocates and social activists are concerned that Bolsonaro might perform better in the upcoming elections based on the polls and defeat Daciolo this time. There is widespread concern in Brazil about Bolsonaro’s potential reactions if he loses, with a high possibility of an electoral coup similar to Trump’s, especially since he has serious allies among the military forces.

In Israel, the final days of the party campaigns have entered their most sensitive phase. While the President of the Israeli government has traveled to Washington for an official visit, it is evident that this trip had serious electoral motivations. If none of the parties, or blocs, reach the necessary threshold to form a government, a plan will be devised to determine the political leader with the mandate of the Prime Minister, who will have a chance to attempt to form a government. This responsibility will fall on Isaac Herzog, the President of the Israeli government.
And finally, we will soon enter the last week of election competition in America. The Democrats’ efforts to reduce their heavy losses in the House of Representatives competition are parallel to their endless efforts to maintain the majority in the Senate. The political situation in America is increasing concerns about the consequences of Republicans gaining control of the House of Representatives moment by moment. Trump-supported candidates in all state and federal levels will make serious efforts to enter legislative and executive structures.
