Europeans are conducting serious investigations into the transformation of administrative and citizen service offices of the Chinese government in these countries into security offices controlling Chinese citizens. The Netherlands is one of the latest countries to announce the identification of such offices. Now, the Canadian federal government has also stated that it takes reports of such structures in the country and the harassment and threats against Chinese citizens by officials responsible for these structures seriously, and investigations into such offices in Canada have begun.
