New request from Queiroz to the Football Federation
The head coach of Iran’s national football team has requested the team’s caravan to arrive in Qatar as soon as possible to get familiar with the conditions there.
The training sessions for Iran’s national football team, in preparation for the 2022 Qatar World Cup, are ongoing with selected domestic players and Omid Ebrahimi as the only legionnaire, while Carlos Queiroz is deeply concerned about the delay in the arrival of all his players.
Due to FIFA regulations, the head coach of Iran’s national football team can only have his legionnaires 8 days before the start of the first match of the Qatar World Cup. As expected, this could lead to coordination issues among team members during the 2022 World Cup, which, unlike previous editions, is being held in the fall.
The Portuguese head coach is now making every effort to enhance coordination among team members. His team is set to host Nicaragua on November 10th, and after two days of rest and training in Tehran, they will prepare for the trip to Qatar.
The head coach of Iran’s national team will announce the final list of domestic players on November 11th, so they can join the rest of the team on a charter flight to Qatar.
