The President of South Korea apologized for the Halloween disaster.

The President of South Korea apologized to the people of the country for the occurrence of the Halloween disaster in Seoul.

Yoon Suk Yeol, the President of South Korea, apologized today, Monday, for the deadly Halloween incident in Seoul and promised to hold accountable any official responsible for inappropriate responses and safety management.

In the October 19 incident, due to a crowd surge in a narrow alley in the Itaewon neighborhood of Seoul, 156 people were killed and 197 others were injured.

While investigations into the officials’ response to this incident continue, the President of South Korea officially apologized to his country’s people during a meeting addressing the safety shortcomings in this incident.
