The former captain and CEO of Esteghlal were banned for a total of 8 years.

According to the announcement by the Ethics Committee, the conviction of Reza Eftekhari, the former CEO of Esteghlal Tehran Club, and Sadegh Varmarziar, the former head of the club’s academy, was issued. After appealing to the Appeals Committee, the decision was finalized.

Based on this, Reza Eftekhari, considering the completion of his one-year football ban from the date of the initial ruling, was sentenced to pay a fine of 100 million rials. Sadegh Varmarziar was banned from any football-related activities for 7 years and was fined 300 million rials.

Reza Eftekhari can continue his activities after paying the fine, and Sadegh Varmarziar can resume after the completion of the ban period, paying the fine, and obtaining approval from the Ethics Committee.
