Canada condemns death sentences for protesters in Iran
Canada’s Foreign Minister on Tuesday, November 8th, in a tweet, called and condemned the Iranian government’s decision to issue death sentences against some detainees as intimidation of Iranians who are fighting for their human rights.
Mélanie Joly wrote, ‘We call on the Iranian regime to change its course, address the legitimate concerns of Iranians, and protect their right to protest.’
She emphasized at the end of this tweet that Canada stands with the people of Iran.
