Kazem Gharibabadi, Secretary of Iran's Human Rights Council, Asserts Instagram and Twitter's Role in Promoting Violence in Iran Has Been Documented

Kazem Gharibabadi, Secretary of Iran’s Human Rights Council, has gathered information on the role of Instagram and Twitter in promoting violence in Iran.

In the last seven weeks, Instagram has opened millions of posts and thousands of pages.

Relevant authorities in the Islamic Republic of Iran have collected all the documentation on this issue, which includes promoting violence, advertising the sale of firearms, encouraging people to take to the streets, and vandalizing public and private property.

The responsible institutions in the Islamic Republic of Iran corresponded with Meta, the owner of WhatsApp and Instagram, stating that these pages should be closed, but they did nothing.

We do not forget that after the cowardly assassination of Martyr Soleimani, millions of posts and pages that only mentioned Martyr Haj Qasem were deleted.

Twitter opens four thousand Persian accounts monthly. In just the past month, while we are facing unrest, Twitter has opened more than 50,000 fake accounts at the behest of the United States. These 50,000 accounts are not operated by 50,000 real people, but by several individuals or are robotic, aiming to wage a propaganda and psychological war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
