Sardar Azmoun’s Arrival in Qatar

The Iranian national football team forward headed to Qatar from Germany with a special companion.

Sardar Azmoun, the forward for the Iranian national team and Bayer Leverkusen, who had been dealing with an injury for a few weeks, underwent physiotherapy under the supervision of Mikael Morira, the national team’s physiotherapist, in the UAE to speed up his recovery process and reach the World Cup.

Azmoun eventually left the UAE for Germany last week but did not participate in Leverkusen’s game due to lack of readiness. Another coach from the Iranian national team was a special companion with Azmoun in Germany to monitor him closely in the remaining time before the World Cup. The close connection between Sardar Azmoun and Queiroz’s assistant in Germany continued until his departure to Qatar yesterday. Queiroz confirmed this today on the sidelines of the Iranian national team’s training, saying that Sardar, along with one of our fitness coaches, arrived in Qatar yesterday. This shows that these issues are no longer relevant.
