Fines and Travel Bans Await Students
A group of parliament members have drafted a proposal that, in the event of student protests, insults to sacred matters at universities, or any actions disrupting the educational and research missions of the university, offenders would face disciplinary actions and be required to pay the full cost of their education for that academic period. Additionally, if necessary, they could be banned from leaving the country for up to 10 years.
Meanwhile, student protests at universities across the country are entering their third week.
