Sara and Pari Baharvandi’s Withdrawal from the National Snooker Team in Support of Iran Protests
Sara and Pari Baharvandi, two sisters from Iran’s national women’s snooker team, announced in a video that from the beginning of Azar (November 22), they will not participate in any domestic or international tournaments and will withdraw from the national team.
They stated that they do not claim to stand alongside the people because they themselves are the people. They also mentioned it is for the unjustly shed blood, for the political prisoners, for our children, for freedom.
Sara Baharvandi holds a snooker ranking in Iran and is the national champion.
