Ahmad Zeidabadi: Maybe God will come to our aid once more

Ahmad Zeidabadi: It seems we Iranians have been destined to endure the worst scenarios over the past one hundred and fifty years, except in a few cases where, beyond our control and capability, God has come to our aid.

Maybe God will come to our aid once more and open a window for this country from a place that does not occur to us and does not fit into our calculations. Apart from this metaphysical hope, I see no sign of a low-cost way out of this crisis, and if I don’t say from people like me, at least from myself, there’s nothing I can do except perhaps to become a pointless, ineffective, and fruitless victim of the dreadful events ahead, and even worse than that.

Nevertheless, saying goodbye to politics at this juncture does not mean putting down the pen.
