Mohammad Eslami’s Astonishing Remarks about Dairy Farms
The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization apparently intended to provide extensive explanations in response to recent developments in nuclear equations between Iran and Western countries, aiming to calm the Iranian public and justify to foreign officials. However, what he has said is one of the most disastrous statements possible.
Mohammad Eslami has stated that Rafael Grossi and the organization he leads cannot accuse Iran of expanding undeclared facilities, and on the other hand, the location where the International Atomic Energy Agency experts claim to have found uranium is a dairy farm.
Iran is not currently accused of having hidden nuclear facilities. If such facilities are discovered, two specific approaches will be pursued to address them, one of which is naturally military.
Iran must respond regarding the uranium discovered in its facilities. These facilities could be nuclear power plants, nuclear sites, restaurants, or dairy farms.
Iranian security officials naturally do not leave the agency’s experts to themselves when they are in Iran and are always with them. It is unclear how this enthusiastic group, in the midst of their inspection and control programs, also managed to visit a dairy farm.
Mohammad Eslami can mention part of the truth and indicate that the monitoring and control structures of the agency, which are stationed in Iran’s facilities, have monitored uranium without the presence of experts. In this case, the implication of Mr. Eslami’s statements is that these structures were installed by the agency’s experts in a dairy farm, and they do not know the difference between nuclear facilities and a dairy farm.
