Killing of Hooman Abdollahi in Sanandaj by gunfire from officials

Kurdish human rights activists in Iran say that during the Wednesday night protests in Sanandaj, a 21-year-old man was killed by gunfire from security forces.

Human rights organizations have identified the deceased as Hooman Abdollahi.

Hengaw and the Kurdistan Human Rights Network have reported the death of this young man from Sanandaj.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network stated that the body of this citizen has not yet been handed over to his family, and security forces have been deployed around Kowsar Hospital.

In recent weeks, officials of the Islamic Republic have, in several cases, seized the bodies of the deceased and buried them against the families’ wishes.

According to reports, Hooman Abdollahi was shot by government forces during the protests in the Hassan Abad neighborhood of Sanandaj.
