Hamidreza Amiri Journalist Released

Hamidreza Amiri, the journalist, has been released.

Hamidreza Amiri, a journalist and political activist who was arrested during the nationwide protests, has been released from prison on bail after 87 days of detention.

His defense lawyer, Saeed Khalili, had previously told the Emtedad website that in the indictment of security cases, instead of legal reasoning and reference to laws, it seems as if we are faced with a political statement from an extremist party.

Hamidreza Amiri was arrested less than a week after the start of the nationwide protests and has been accused of gathering and colluding against national security and propaganda against the regime.
