Iraq was asked to prevent Iran’s influence
France and several countries in the Middle East indirectly asked the Iraqi government to avoid the influence of the Islamic Republic during the Baghdad 2 summit held on Tuesday, December 20, in Jordan.
Meanwhile, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, who was Iran’s representative at the summit, tweeted in Arabic on Wednesday, reiterating Tehran’s support for Baghdad and announcing his meeting with his Saudi counterpart in Jordan.
