The father of Saman Seydi Yasin, a prisoner, reports on his son’s health

The father of Saman Seydi Yasin, a detained protest singer in Iran, has shared Instagram stories reporting on his son’s health.

He wrote that they just went to the prison, called, and his son is well. In another post, he mentioned that friends said Saman was well last night and he also called until 1 PM today.

Saman Seydi, known as Saman Yasin, is a Kurdish artist from Kermanshah who was violently arrested on October 2nd during protests in Tehran and is now held in Ward 10 of Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network states that Saman Yasin, an artist sentenced to death, attempted suicide by consuming a large number of pills due to prison pressures.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network said he was returned to the political ward in a semi-conscious state after having his stomach pumped and receiving IV fluids.

His father’s statements also refer to these reports.
