The Minister of Culture is not worried about the boycott of the Fajr Festival

Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, said regarding this year’s boycott of the Fajr Film Festival that similar things were said about the Cinema Verite festival, yet only 8 films were withdrawn from the festival and more than 500 films were submitted.

This is our best festival, and in terms of quantity and quality, it has greatly improved compared to last year.

We are not worried about the Fajr Film Festival, and all the people involved in culture and art view the festival as a season of vitality and dynamism for the country’s artistic community, which is why everyone is eagerly awaiting the start of the festival.
