South Korean Fighters Confront North Korean Drones

South Korean fighter jets in confrontation with North Korean drones

South Korean military officials announced that several North Korean drones have crossed the border between the two countries and entered South Korean airspace.

According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea’s armed forces, the unmanned aircraft violated the country’s airspace in the border region of Gyeonggi Province.

Reports indicate that one of these five drones flew close to Seoul, the capital of South Korea.

The last time North Korean drones crossed the border between the two countries was five years ago in June 2017, during a peak in tensions between the neighbors.

Today’s developments are occurring as tensions between the two neighbors have increased due to North Korea’s numerous missile tests.
