Iran's Ministry of Labor Report: Poverty Line Approaching Three Million Tomans

The report from Iran’s Ministry of Labor indicates that the poverty line is approaching three million tomans.

The per capita amount is 285 million tomans, and for a four-person household, it is approximately 77 million tomans.

This estimate is from the latest poverty monitoring report prepared by Iran’s Ministry of Labor, and parts of it have been published by the ILNA news agency, citing the public relations of this ministry.

According to this report, the poverty line for a four-person and three-person household in Tehran for the year 1401 is estimated to be around 147 and 119 million tomans, respectively.

The report also mentions the poverty line for the year 1400, stating that the year 1400 began with high inflation, but the trend decreased in the final months of the year. However, despite the reduction in inflation in 1400, the inflation rate in Iran’s economy remained much higher than its long-term trends, and the economy is in an unstable situation.
