Reactions to the execution of Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Mohammad Hosseini: Until we wake up, we won’t wake up.

The execution of Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Mohammad Hosseini, two other protesters, has sparked numerous reactions today.

Several figures such as Ali Karimi, Hamid Farrokhnezhad, Googoosh, Parastoo Salehi, and Dariush Eghbali have written about this by posting on their social media pages.

Googoosh, the pop singer, shared a video of chanting ‘Death to the Islamic Republic’ at her recent concert on her Instagram page and wrote in her story: ‘In the name of the Prophet of Islam, they killed two Mohammads. Death to the Islamic Republic.’

Actress Parastoo Salehi also wrote: ‘In our country, with every call to prayer, they commit injustice and execute. Muezzin, do not call to prayer. In our country, Zahhak drinks blood at dawn prayer time. Muezzin, do not call to prayer.’

Another actor, Hamid Farrokhnezhad, wrote: ‘Kill, sir, kill, lest a month goes by and you haven’t executed someone, because hidden in the midst of these cries is a sigh that I don’t know when and from whose throat it will come out, but it certainly will, and it will be fired.’
