The Head of the Iran Human Rights Organization: More severe consequences await the Islamic Republic
Following the execution of two political prisoners named Mohammad Mehdi Karami and Mehdi Hosseini, human rights activists have called for a swift and widespread response from the international community.
Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, the Head of the Iran Human Rights Organization, condemned these executions in a tweet, writing that this event should have far more severe and widespread consequences for the Islamic Republic’s regime than previous executions.
Amiry-Moghaddam also called for the imposition of stricter human rights sanctions against Iran’s government institutions and figures.
