Ansieh Khazali: We Have Only Had One Female Minister

Ansieh Khazali: We have only had one term with a female minister.

The Vice President for Women and Family Affairs: I myself used to offer managerial positions to women at Alzahra University, but they wouldn’t accept because sometimes they had to stay late. Of course, they might have been right, as full-time work could harm their family life. Naturally, we need to define jobs in a way that allows women to use their capabilities while also attending to their families. We are considering establishing a career framework for women. We have proposed some deputy and managerial positions in various ministries and will continue to do so. The President himself has appointed individuals to high councils, which should be appreciated. For the first time, the President insists that women must be present in high councils and has appointed specialized women. We hope this trend expands.
