The death toll from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria has surpassed 28,000 people.

According to the latest statistics, as of this Sunday morning, 24,617 people have lost their lives in Turkey due to the earthquake, and more than 3,500 have died in Syria.

The BBC news network has also reported simultaneously that three relief groups have stated that unrest in southern Turkey has disrupted rescue and relief efforts following the deadly earthquake on Monday.
