The record-breaking of the dollar continues.
A day after the inauguration of a new center for currency and gold exchange by the government of Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran, he emphasized that unofficial prices are considered smuggling. The prices of the dollar and euro broke their historical records for a few hours, with the euro surpassing 54,000 tomans and the dollar reaching 50,800 tomans.
After the start of the new currency and gold exchange center, the price of the dollar, which was 41,500 tomans, was also unveiled. The Hamshahri newspaper wrote on its front page that the real price of the dollar in the exchange market is 9,000 tomans cheaper than the smuggled dollar. However, as reports suggest, this price is not fixed and will vary daily based on supply and demand. Nevertheless, this price was determined while the dollar is still being sold above 50,000 tomans in Ferdowsi Square and the market.
