Iran and China abstain from condemning Russia’s resolution at the United Nations
Iran, India, and China are among the 32 countries that abstained from voting on the United Nations General Assembly resolution condemning Russia, which was approved by a large majority.
This is the fourth time that Beijing has abstained from voting on Ukraine-related matters at the United Nations. In recent days, the country has expressed solidarity with Russia.
Despite sending suicide drones to Russia, Iran also abstained from this resolution. Iran claims that it did not send these drones to Russia for assistance in the war in Ukraine.
India and South Africa were also among the 32 countries that abstained from the resolution.
The seven countries that voted against the resolution are Belarus, Mali, Nicaragua, Russia, Syria, North Korea, and Eritrea.
